CHILDHOOD:
She was always known as being an ‘active girl’ and enjoyed playing dodgeball with the boys. [x]

She was part of a volleyball club, after spotting someone from her neighbourhood there. There was a strict hierarchy there, based on age, so she found herself recieving abusive remarks from upperclassmen. While she was hurt by this, she doesn’t consider herself a victim of bullying in any way. She continued playing, knowing one day that they’d retire and she’d be on top. She hates to lose. [x]

FAMILY:
She’s always gotten on well with her family – they watched all of the audition live stream, from morning to night, to see how she was doing, and would occassionally message her some encouragement. [x]

Once she knew she was going to the training camp, her mother and sister would go with her to karaoke every single day to practise her singing. [x]

Her mother had always tried to push her into a career in showbiz, since she always wanted to herself but never did. On her mother’s birthday, she sent Yu-ki a lengthy text about how happy she is that her daughter is living out her dream. [x]

SCHOOL/EDUCATION:
She was a member of the brass band from 4th to 6th grade, where she played the euphonium. Also in the 4th grade, she started playing the piano and studying English. Her sister was a big influence on her growing up, which is why she followed her in learning English. She never missed a lesson thanks to her sister for always giving her snacks at the end. [x]

In high school, she was a member of the English club, who’s sole activities consisted of watching movies with subtitles and eating snacks once a week. [x]

IDOL HISTORY:
She discovered BiSH through her sister recommending them, and telling her she should apply for the audition. [x] On April 2, 2017, she passed the audition, along with YUKA EMPiRE, where it was announced that they would be a part of a future group. At that stage, it was simply known as “Project AW” – A collaboration project between Avex and WACK. This group was then releaved to be EMPiRE on August 23, 2017.
